In the process of advancing my web development skills and knowledge of WordPress, I decided to challenge myself by creating my own plugin. As I got started working through the Plugin Handbook, I found the process very rewarding. I took this new-found knowledge and started developing ArtistPress into a commercially viable product.

In order to market ArtistPress, I first needed a brand and logo that communicats to the musicians and practicing fine artists that made up my target market. This logo would highlight the two different art forms with the likeness of a classic Gibson guitar and an artist’s paint brush. In order to communicate hip and trendy, yet professional, these two elements were combined with typography that has a contemporary twist on the classic sans-serif font.
